What file formats does your software support?
Written by admin, December 31st, 2007

Our software is designed to work with standard AVI video files. This is the most universally available file format, and offers the smoothest control over seeking, drawing, etc. However, we can also process many other file formats, including .WMV, .MOV, and .MPG. There may be others as well. If you have video files in a format that cannot be displayed, then you simply need to convert these into .AVI. We recommend the AVS Video Tools software package, as this is the most powerful and affordable product we have found on the net.

Hello. I wasn’t sure how to post a new question, so forgive me if this question is written in the wrong category. I am thinking of purchasing the MotionView Coach addition to look over my golf swing. Would I be able to import a video off the web… say Tiger Woods swing? Ideally, I would like to import files then overlay my golf swing on top of the video imported.

    Thank you for your help.

    Tim,

MotionView can overlay any two videos that you open in the program. Finding high quality downloadable videos of Tiger might be tough though, as most PGA golfers are sticklers about royalties for such use (this is one reason we don’t have them…).

If you use our USB Video Grabber you could capture video from the television, DVDs, or VHS tapes, and save these as files for use in MotionView. You could also use the AVS Video tools (available under the “Video Conversion Software” section of our site at http://www.allsportsystems.com) to “rip” DVDs you might have into standard AVI video files.

    I hope this helps!

hey i was wondering why motionclip was saying there was a zero frame rate on the clips i wished to turn into a movie. i can see them on screen and play them in the motionclip player. The movie is in .mpg format. This problem is keeping me from making movies off of some clips while others in AVI are working. The problem is AVI is too large a format size to work with for the project im trying to complete.
is there anyway to configure the software to read these clips?

    thanks for your help

    Nick,

MotionClip Game Film Analysis software is probably able to play your mpeg files simply because your computer’s video hardware understands how to decode that format. This is different from creating new movies FROM your mpeg files, which requires a software codec to interpret the file. We have not yet discovered a suitable codec that works well with mpeg. We would recommend that you compress your videos into Windows Media (wmv) format, as this will produce good quality in a compressed format that works well with all of our software products.
