Can I use European camcorders with 25 frames per second with your programm? If I take video with 2 camcorders with 16:9 screen turned vericaly, can I rotate picture verticaly and see it in 16:9 proportion?

    Gundars,

Yes you can use 25FPS (pal) camcorders with our software. However you cannot change the proportions of the videos you shoot. You can FLIP a video horizontally or vertically, but you cannot change a 16:9 into a 9:16.

Till today, I only used MotionView(Home) only at home, I made the videos on the range and worked with it at home. Now I have a Panasonic DigiCam and was eager to use it with MotionView. The camera is connected with a FireWire-Cable, the camera is adapted to the Notebook (I can see the moving camera in the WindowsExplorer).
In Play-Mode on the camera I can trigger the camera within MotionView, but using the Capture a new VideoFile only brings a black part inside the MotionView-Window - there is no view threw the camera.
What can this be? Does this only work in a professional version? What can I do to resolve?? The NV-GS11-Camera has a normal, often used DV-Connection and it works normally with the PC.

I’ve forgotten one thing : The Button “Camera controls” brings a window with disabled fields, but using the I/O-Button a window appears with informations to the camera, Here I can start recording and stopping. …What’s that..

    Martin,

All versions of MotionView can capture live video over firewire. So the problem must be something related to the video codecs you have installed on your computer. Please see other areas of our blog where we discuss the “black video” symptom that a few other customers have reported. In all cases they have resolved this by uninstalling some third-party software that overwrote the default Microsoft DV video codec.

You should see live video inside MotionView’s capture screen only when the camera is in “Camera” mode (i.e. not in playback mode).

The “Camera Controls” and “I/O” buttons are showing you screens provided by your Microsoft Windows drivers for firewire cameras. You normally would not use these in MotionView.
