Open your .mov file in Quicktime PRO and then click File/Export.

Select the “Movie to AVI” format, and choose a filename for your new .avi file.

Under Options/Video Settings, select the Compression type “DV/DVCPRO – NTSC”. You can also adjust the quality of the new video here. These settings will all be remembered, so you don’t have to keep setting them for each video you convert after this.

Click “OK” back through all the screens until you can “Save” the video. That’s it! Once the export is complete your .AVI file will have a native resolution of 720×480.
